Goalkeepers and coaches we truly know

Maarten Arts has trained with every goalkeeper connected to the PGE consultancy and has seen them perform in matches. He can point out in detail both their strengths and areas for improvement. Thanks to PGE consultancy’s mediation, we have placed goalkeepers at clubs in the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Croatia, Norway, and Sweden.

The same applies to the affiliated coaches: Maarten Arts has worked with them directly or knows them well through their participation in his courses, seminars, or the international congress. These coaches are (or have been) active in countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Qatar, India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Abu Dhabi.

goalkeepers

Afonso Capitao

Afonso Capitão has participated twice in the ELITE ID CAMP in the Netherlands and Belgium, where he performed excellently. In his youth, Afonso played for smaller clubs in Portugal. In recent years, he was part of the second team of FC Alverca, a club competing in Portugal’s top division. This year, he made the move to one of the biggest and oldest clubs in Croatia: NK Zagreb, where he will take on the role of first-choice goalkeeper.

Afonso exudes calmness and confidence. He masters all the techniques required of a modern goalkeeper. He is particularly strong at intercepting crosses and in one-on-one situations. Now that he will play as the first-choice goalkeeper in Zagreb, he is expected to continue his development even further.

Felix buer

Felix Buer was developed at Werder Bremen, where he played up to the U19 level. In recent years, he played for Fortuna Köln in the fourth tier of German football. Due to a shoulder injury, he played little last season. His young replacement performed well, which led to Felix’s contract not being renewed. He is now a free agent and available for trials.

Felix has excellent ball-playing qualities. He is strong on his line but is also confident playing far from his goal. He reads the game well and is a strong communicator.

Jahmani Eisden

Jahmani Eisden is a young and talented goalkeeper who has been part of the Aruba National Team squad for several years. This year, he made his debut for the national side.

In the Netherlands, he played for Spakenburg and later for the U19 team of FC Den Bosch. Through Progoalelite, he spent six months in Spain, playing for the IDA Academy team.

Since August 1, 2025, he has signed a one-year contract with Atert Bissen in the top division of Luxembourg.

Jahmani is an all-round goalkeeper. He commands his entire penalty area, has excellent game awareness, and a fantastic right foot. He is a brave keeper, showing courage when intercepting crosses and in one-on-one situations.

Kieran Baskett

Kieran made his debut at a young age for Halifax Wanderers in the Canadian Premier League. Later, he also played for Canadian top club Pacific FC. His time in Norway, where he was the first-choice goalkeeper at Brattvåg and SK Træff, shaped him both as a goalkeeper and as a person.

Kieran is an all-round goalkeeper with a fantastic left foot. He is strong at intercepting crosses and excels in one-on-one situations. In addition, he is a hard worker, a team player, and possesses leadership qualities.

At the moment, Kieran plays for Lierse SK, where he has signed a two-year contract with an option for one more year.

Ismail Moro

Ismail Moro has already gained a wealth of experience at clubs both in Belgium and abroad. He played for teams such as Patro Eisden and VVV Venlo, and spent the past year as the third goalkeeper at Roda JC. Because he wasn’t getting enough playing time at Roda JC, he will be joining fourth-division club Halsteren starting January 2026. Ismail is excellent on the line, strong in 1v1 situations, a vocal and effective communicator, calm under pressure, and confident with the ball at his feet.

René ponk

Maarten Arts worked with René at FC Utrecht, where he already recognized his potential as a future goalkeeper coach. As a player, René not only played for FC Utrecht but also for Santiago de Compostela in La Liga, facing top Spanish clubs such as Barcelona and Real Madrid. As captain of FC Utrecht, he won the KNVB Cup with a clean sheet against FC Twente.

As a goalkeeper coach, he has worked for several Dutch clubs, as well as in China and Saudi Arabia. There, he coached at the Saudi top club Al Shabab and served as Head of Goalkeeping at the MAHD Academy.

René is open to a new challenge abroad as a goalkeeper coach or Head of Goalkeeping, preferably at a club in the Arab world.

Alex mos

Alex is a Dutch goalkeeping coach who played as a goalkeeper in the Pro Academy of FC Groningen.

After his playing career, he made a name for himself as a coach. He has worked in Indonesia and Uzbekistan, where he was in charge of the national teams.

Through the mediation of Pro Goal Elite Consultancy, Alex has now found a new challenge under the flag of the Qatar Olympic Committee, working for Al Mesaimeer Sports Club in Doha.

Jordi Wuijts

Jordi is a young and talented goalkeeping coach from Belgium. From a young age, he focused on training goalkeepers and soon received an offer from KV Mechelen, where he worked for several years. During congresses and coaching seminars, Jordi met Maarten Arts. After a strict selection process, we recommended him for the MAHD project in Saudi Arabia, where he has now been working for several years. Last year, he received the honorable invitation to also train the U16 goalkeepers of the Saudi National Team.

Dimitris Mousiaris

I met Dimitris at the Aport Garda Coaching Congress in Italy, where he presented his vision and training methods to me. Since then, we have had a long-term collaboration. I first brought him to Wadi Degla, where he served as Head of Goalkeeping and goalkeeping coach for the First Team. Later, I also brought him to Al Wahda as U18 coach, where he won the UAE Championship. Dimitris has also worked with several clubs in Greece, Albania, and Iran. He is currently working as a goalkeeping coach at the highest level in Greece.

John van loen

John has had a fantastic career as a player, winning titles with clubs such as Ajax, Feyenoord, and Anderlecht. He also played for the Dutch National Team and secured FC Utrecht’s first-ever cup victory.

He later returned to FC Utrecht as an assistant coach for the first team, where he was once again highly successful — winning two Cup Finals, the Dutch Super Cup, and achieving many seasons of European football. In addition, John has worked as a coach for several Dutch clubs and has served as Head of Academy in China and Georgia.

John is now open to a new challenge as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach, or Head of Academy.

Patrick Nys

Patrick was a late bloomer as a goalkeeper — his greatest successes came after the age of 25. He became champion with FC Brussels and also played for Lommel and Lierse SK.

As captain, he won the Turkish Cup with Gençlerbirliği. As a coach, Patrick has also experienced several highlights, including becoming champion with Beerschot and achieving promotion to the top Belgian division.

Patrick holds the UEFA Pro Goalkeeping Diploma. He is currently working part-time at ADO Den Haag, where he mentors and trains top talents.

Patrick is open to a position as a goalkeeper coach or Head of Goalkeeping, in line with his experience and expertise.

Coaching Seminars

Maarten Arts is a highly sought-after speaker at international coaching congresses. He has been a guest several times at the world’s largest coaching congress, the United Coaches in the USA, with no fewer than 12,000 visitors. In addition, he has spoken at various other (goalkeeping) congresses such as Aport Garda, Porto, ICGC-USA, and BDFL-Germany. Arts has also delivered courses for the federations of many countries around the world, including Russia, South Africa, Norway, El Salvador, Mexico, Bulgaria, Faroe Islands, and Austria.
